Feel Like Yourself Again
If your mind will not slow down and it feels like you are carrying everything at once, you are not alone. Many women in Washington quietly navigate high-functioning anxiety, intrusive thoughts, postpartum changes, work stress and burnout, perfectionism and people-pleasing, and the mood or sleep shifts that can come with perimenopause. These seasons can be overwhelming and isolating, yet change is possible.
Online therapy for women in Washington can help you calm your nervous system, reduce compulsions and worry, practice I-CBT for OCD, set kinder boundaries, and feel more steady in daily life. Support is available for anxiety and panic, OCD and intrusive thoughts, postpartum anxiety and depression, perinatal OCD with ERP, and perimenopause-related anxiety. Whether you’re from Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue, or any part of Washington state, therapy is online and accessible whenever you are.
You do not have to hold it all together, you just have to start.
I'm so glad you're here
I'm so glad you're here
It all starts with trust.
Hi! I’m Laura, a psychotherapist and licensed independent clinical social worker offering online therapy for women across Washington State. I specialize in helping moms and women who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, infertility, or the invisible mental load of motherhood.
If you’re in a postpartum season, feeling stuck in your head, or worn down from trying to hold it all together, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. Therapy can provide the space to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with what matters most, without judgment or pressure.
In our work together, you’ll learn to quiet the inner critic, manage intrusive thoughts, set boundaries without guilt, and return to yourself with more ease and self-trust. You don’t need to be “fixed”, you deserve to be supported. And with virtual therapy, you can show up exactly as you are. Babies are always welcome, no makeup or sitter required.
The Process
The women I work with are often driven, thoughtful, and high-achieving; juggling careers, families, relationships, and everything in between. From the outside, it looks like they’re managing it all. But on the inside, there’s often a constant hum of anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, or exhaustion that won’t let up. It feels messy.
If your mind won’t slow down, if you’re carrying it all and still feeling like it’s not enough, you’re not alone.
Many women across Washington quietly navigate high-functioning anxiety, intrusive thoughts, postpartum mood shifts, perfectionism, burnout, and the invisible mental load that comes with doing it all. These seasons can feel overwhelming and isolating but you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, get out of your head, and reconnect with what matters most. Together, we’ll explore what’s fueling the anxiety or emotional weight, and begin to shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck.
GETTING STARTED IS SIMPLE:
We’ll begin with a free 15-minute consultation to make sure it feels like a good fit. If you decide to move forward, we’ll meet once a week for 55-minute virtual sessions. All sessions are online, HIPAA-compliant, and designed to fit your life, whether you’re squeezing them in between meetings, nursing a newborn, or just showing up as you are.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in evidence-based therapies that support meaningful and lasting change.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness practices, somatic work, and grounding techniques. These approaches are especially helpful for women navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and the emotional weight of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood.
This approach allows us to explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and nervous system responses are shaped by past experiences and how we can shift patterns that no longer serve you. While we may look at where things began, we stay grounded in the present and focused on what’s most important to you now.
The goal is not to overanalyze or fix you, but to help you build awareness, self-compassion, and tools that bring more calm, clarity, and confidence into your daily life. Whether you’re adjusting to motherhood, managing intrusive thoughts, or simply holding too much you deserve a space to feel seen, supported, and empowered.
-
Getting started is simple. Just reach out through the contact form or scheduling link on this site. Once I hear from you, I’ll respond within 1–2 business days to guide you through the next steps. We’ll schedule an initial intake session where you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and decide if this feels like the right fit. No pressure, just a conversation to begin exploring what support could look like for you.
-
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or like you’re carrying more than you can manage alone, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. Therapy is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves, improve their emotional well-being, or create lasting changes in their life. If you’re curious about whether this could be a helpful next step, that curiosity is a sign it’s worth exploring.
-
Not every therapist or approach is the right match, and it’s okay to feel hesitant. Our work together will be collaborative and tailored to your needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe that healing happens in the context of trust and safety, and I welcome any concerns you have about past experiences. If you’re willing to try again, we’ll go at your pace, with care and intention.
-
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what’s bringing you in, what your goals might be, and any relevant background that feels important to share. You’re always in control of how much you want to disclose and there’s no pressure to share everything at once. Most importantly, this time is about building comfort and connection. We’ll talk through next steps together and make sure it feels like a good fit for you.
-
Each session is a space for you to explore what’s on your mind and what’s going on in your life. We’ll talk through your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences, and I’ll offer support, reflections, and tools to help you better understand yourself and move toward your goals. Some weeks may feel more structured, while others may feel more open and that’s okay. This time is yours, and we’ll always work at a pace that feels right for you.
-
Sessions are 55 minutes long and typically take place once a week. Weekly sessions help us build momentum and maintain a sense of continuity in our work together. That said, therapy is flexible and we can adjust frequency over time based on your needs, goals, and availability.
-
This varies from person to person. Some clients start to feel relief after just a few sessions, while deeper healing and growth can take more time. What matters most is consistency and openness, small steps add up. Together, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with your needs.
-
You might start to notice subtle shifts, like feeling more present, more aware of your thoughts, or less overwhelmed in situations that used to feel heavy. Over time, you may find yourself responding differently to stress, setting healthier boundaries, or reconnecting with parts of yourself that felt lost. We’ll reflect on these changes together so you can see the progress you’re making.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Therapy isn’t about giving advice or quick fixes, it’s about helping you uncover your own clarity and confidence. I’ll actively listen, ask thoughtful questions, and offer insights, strategies, and tools when they’re helpful. The goal is to create a space where you feel supported, empowered, and understood, not judged or directed.
-
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in session stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (such as concerns of serious harm to yourself or others, or mandatory reporting of abuse). We’ll talk more about this in our first session so you know exactly what to expect and can feel safe to speak openly.
-
At this time, I offer online therapy sessions only. Virtual therapy makes it easier to access support from the comfort of your own space, whether you’re at home, on a lunch break, or managing life with little ones nearby. All sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You just need a comfortable space and a reliable internet connection to get started.
-
I’m licensed to provide therapy throughout Washington State. That means you can work with me whether you’re in Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Olympia, Bellingham, Bellevue, Kitsap County, or anywhere in between. As long as you’re physically located in Washington during our sessions, you’re eligible for care.
-
I offer sessions Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9-5 pm. I do not have any open evening sessions at this time, however, if I open evening availability past 5pm, I will let current and new clients know if availability for recurrent bookings.
-
A 15-minute consultation is free. From there, the rate for a 55-minute individual therapy session is $165, and the initial intake session (60 minutes) is $200. I’m not contracted with any insurance companies, but depending on your eligibility, your provider may reimburse you for a substantial portion of my fee as an out-of-network provider. I provide itemized superbills upon request that you can submit for reimbursement. To find out if your plan offers out-of-network coverage, you can contact your insurance provider and ask about benefits for individual psychotherapy, specifically CPT codes 90791 and 90837, both with the 95 modifier for telehealth. All clients will also receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
-
I ask that all appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. You’re welcome to notify me by email or voicemail. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed entirely will be charged the full session fee. Payment is due at the beginning of each session, and I require a credit or debit card to be kept on file. I accept all major credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA payments.
-
At this time, I do not offer a sliding scale or reduced fee options. I understand that cost can be an important factor when considering therapy, and I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to explore any out-of-network reimbursement options that may be available to you. I’m happy to provide superbills upon request to support that process.
