I'm so glad you're here
I'm so glad you're here
Hello! I’m Laura.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker and therapist passionate about helping women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Whether you’re struggling with burnout, intrusive thoughts, or simply want to feel more grounded and present in your life, therapy can be the space where you finally exhale.
I’ve spent much of my life caring about and for others, from working with women veterans and facilitating parent groups to raising my own three children. My goal is to make therapy a place where you can feel seen, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of your peace and help you reconnect with the version of yourself you miss most.

as Heard On: Doula Talk Podcast
In this follow-up episode, Laura and Dr. Angie Maxwell return to Doula Talk for a deeply validating discussion on postpartum anxiety and OCD, two experiences that often go unseen and unspoken. Together with Deb, they unpack what sets postpartum anxiety apart from everyday worry, how intrusive thoughts can feel frightening but are treatable, and the many ways anxiety manifests in the body, even within the pelvic floor.
The episode offers clear, compassionate strategies for understanding symptoms, seeking timely support, and fostering open communication with partners. Whether you’re a new parent, expectant, or supporting someone through postpartum life, you’ll walk away feeling seen, supported, and empowered with hope and resources.
In this powerful and affirming conversation, Laura joins Doula Deb and Dr. Angie Maxwell, PT, DPT of Madrona PT, to talk honestly about what healing really looks like after birth. Together, they explore the difference between the baby blues and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), how trauma can show up in both the mind and body, and why emotional and physical recovery are deeply connected.
Listeners will gain practical tools to recognize red flags in themselves or their partners, guidance for starting compassionate conversations, and a reassuring reminder that healing doesn’t have a deadline. You’re not behind, broken, or alone.
Ready to connect?
Therapy is not about “fixing” you, it’s about rediscovering who you already are. If you’re ready to start that journey, I’d love to meet you.
